First Two East Kimberley Development Projects Kick Off

The first two projects worth $1.35 million of the East Kimberley Development Package have officially kicked off, Parliamentary Secretary for Western and Northern Australia, Gary Gray, announced today. The commencement of the projects follows the announcement of the $195 million East Kimberley Development Package by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd on 3 July 2009, Mr Gray said. This is the first of two interrelated projects being funded under the East Kimberley Development Package that will improve and upgrade facilities at Kununurra Airport, Mr Gray said.
